On Snow at Guthega

Guthega Inn backs onto ski runs, is close to lifting and enjoys uninterrupted Main Range views.

The majority of guests park at Guthega and are transferred in our over-snow vehicle over snow to the Inn, being returned the same way at the end of their stay.

Inn guests “lift out” using the Blue Calf T-bar or Car-park Chairlift both of which connect to the Guthega Freedom Chair, Mt. Blue Cow, Perisher Valley and Smiggin Holes ski areas. Note that lift operation may be restricted in early or late season and our rates are tied to “peak” and “fringe” periods. For snow conditions and lift status reports please use the “Snow Cam” button at the bottom of this page.

There is scope for snow play immediately around the Inn and there is an understanding that some guests are here simply to rest and recharge.

Intermediates and experts can access quality resort or back-country skiing and riding. Beginners are catered for with green runs. Being able to use a T-bar lift is an advantage. First timers can book over snow transfers (subject to availability) in conjunction with lessons at Blue Cow Snow-Sports School.

Group lessons are available at Perisher ski School for all standards and age groups. Child All Day programs are available at Perisher Valley which requires skiing to Blue Cow Ski Tube and Ski-Tube to Perisher Valley. Alternately, all-day programs may require self drive road transport to Perisher Valley.

Coaching and training in all disciplines are provided by the Winter Sports Club. They are located within the nearby Blue Cow Snow-Sports School. The Inn has had a long association with ski racing welcoming athletes and coaches.

Perisher lift passes and equipment hire are available through https://www.perisher.com.au.
Limited snow-shoeing equipment is available for house guest use at no cost and are a great way to explore or get that special photograph.

In the event that guests would like to “get off the hill” to explore the region the Inn can assist with advice and recommendations.

Professional back country guiding for all levels is available through Snowy Mountains Back Country who are located within the Guthega Centre. https://www.snowymountainsbackcountry.com.au/
